Biography

Aaron Denson, MD, completed his fellowship training in hematology and oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center University of South Florida. He received both his Bachelor of Science degree and his medical degree from Tulane University.

Following his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine he completed a medical internship and residency at the University of South Florida Department of Internal Medicine, Tampa General Hospital, James A. Haley V.A. Hospital and the Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dr. Denson is the author of countless presentations in the areas of both basic science and clinical research. His interests include the patient experience, healthcare policy, and global health. He has demonstrated his commitment to global health by serving as a member of Bicol Clinic Foundation from 2009 where he was involved in three separate 30 day trips to the Philippines with the foundation and a free clinic which provided primary care, OB/GYN surgery, and other services to an impoverished population. He was also involved in recruitment of medical students, physicians, as well as planning and organization. Since 2013 he has served as a member of the Board of Directors responsible for overseeing the foundation’s operations.

Dr. Denson is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American College of Physicians. He and his wife, Meredith, have three sons, Eli, Isaac, and Benjamin. The family includes their favorite member, Harvey the dog. Dr. Denson enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, biking, tennis and cooking.
